“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.” John 15:2
As we enter the interregnum it has become clear that we have needed to do a little pruning, hopefully so that new growth may come about! Without a rector it became clear that we couldn’t maintain the previous rota of mid-week services.
We have therefore tried to spread them more evenly throughout the month. We have also seen growth at Hothfield Lakeside. Where once there was a home communion, we now have a reasonably good regular attendance. Therefore, for the duration of the interregnum we will be trying a new pattern of mid-week communions, as follows :
Week 1 : Friday morning (Iona) at Westwell
Week 2 : Thursday afternoon (BCP) at Lakeside, Hothfield
Week 3 : Tuesday morning at Charing
Week 4 : Wednesday morning at Charing Heath
We’ll keep this under review, and I would welcome your comments. Please see Pew News, the website, or door notices, for details of when these services will take place.
