The weather at this year’s Re:fresh Sea Sunday (8th July) at Tankerton was exciting: starting off sunny, then getting rather bracing with some rain, then eventually getting very sunny all over again. Anyway, none of this dampened the enthusiasm of the gathered throng.

Re:fresh on the beach – Team help with sand-castle building

This year’s Re:fresh Sea Sunday service will be on Sunday 8th July, in support of the Mission to Seafarers and we plan to take another trip to the beach. Kelley and David Playfair are very kindly hosting a BBQ and their beach hut at Tankerton will be our base. This is a lovely day for the whole family, so please do come and join in the fun – we will start about 11am, although the actual service may be after the BBQ lunch (TBC). Continue reading

In response to requests, the Family Services at Egerton will revert to the slightly more formal style of worship.  This is not to say that laptops, projectors and screens will be seen no more, but Bertie Basset will have to stay in his cupboard – although any little one being extra-good in Church is still welcome to take him home for the week!  Puzzled?  Come and join us at 9:30am on third Sundays

 

New format for Westwell Family Service

Despite April-like showers, a goodly number attended our new-look Family Service on 7th August.

The new format included pictures on a big screen to accompany the story, lots of popular hymns, a well-known chorus accompanied by guitar and plenty of time to chat together afterwards over coffee. The general consensus was an enthusiastic “Yes” vote for the new format. Continue reading
