Concert on Saturday 1st December at 3.00pm

Concert 1st December – have you reserved your seat?
On Saturday 1st December at 3.00pm we will, once again, have the privilege of listening to a free concert of acapella singing in the Church performed by the CLScholars.
To mark the 40th anniversary of the opening of the North Downs Way Trail, which we all know as the Pilgrims Way, the concert will express the spirit of pilgrimage, past and present, in music and words. The programme will be a mixture of unaccompanied singing provided by the CLScholars, interspersed with words inspired by pilgrimage read by Charing residents.
Following the concert refreshments will be available in the Church Barn together with a small display about pilgrimage and its relevance to this part of Kent. Whilst enjoying your refreshments music will be provided by the ‘Pilgrim Pipers’.
We are fortunate that all the costs this year are covered by contributions from the North Downs Way Unit and KCC. This means that all voluntary donations given at the end of the concert will go to charitable purposes – 50% to the Church and 50% towards Charing Palace Trust’s education programme, which includes a range of activities currently being developed with Charing School.
As seating in the Church is limited, please contact me, Keith Adams, on 01233 712280 or by email at keith@charingpalace.org to reserve your seat.
