“A Time to Remember”.
Sunday 6th November – ‘Service of Commemoration for lost loved ones’. This is an opportunity to come to church for a short service of hymns, readings and prayers to help you to give thanks for the lives of those you have loved and lost and to find support for your continuing journey. The Service will be held in Pluckley Church at 4pm. All are very welcome.
“A Time to Reflect”.
Sunday 13th November – Remembrance Day Services (see list of Services for details of services in the benefice). The service in Charing Church will be preceded by a parade up the High Street (weather permitting) of various uniformed associations. There will be a formal Act of Remembrance in Little Chart Church at 9.30am. There will also be a more informal service in Little Chart Church at 11am consisting of reflections on Remembrance, worship and prayer. All are welcome at any of the services in the benefice.
“A Time to Get Ready”.
Sunday 27th November – Advent Services. Advent is a time of preparation, of reflecting on the birth of Jesus Christ and looking to His second coming. Advent services often feature candlelight, a reminder of Christ the Light of the World, and hymns that suggest waiting and hoping. As well as all the morning services taking place in each church in the benefice (see list of Services for details) there will be an ecumenical service at Charing Methodist Church at 6pm. All are welcome.
