Good News from Ashford Foodbank

Good News from Ashford Foodbank

It gives us great pleasure to announce that as of 1st June Ashford Foodbank will be moving to new, permanent premises at 2 Mabledon Avenue, Willesborough, TN24 8BJ. This removes the recent uncertainty, and gives Ashford Foodbank long term stability with which to provide an enhanced service to our clients. Distribution will continue from Cudworth Rd up to and including 31st May. Could voucher holders please note that the issuing of new vouchers will state the new address, and that post-1st June existing vouchers will need to be altered.

We thank Ashford Borough Council and Taylor Riley for the great support given to us during this process, and thank all our other supporters for having sought and prayed for a solution to be found.

Finally, but very importantly, we thank our volunteers and partners for their patience throughout this period. The goodwill given by so many toward the Foodbank has given us all great encouragement for the future, and we look forward to serving our community for many years to come.

Every now and then the Foodbank runs low on certain types of food. After a recent visit it was noted that the following were in short supply:

Breakfast cereal
Sponge puddings
Sauces – pasta, curry etc.
Sugar
Tinned fruit (they have plenty of peaches but little else)
Tinned vegetables including potatoes
Jam
Biscuits
Microwave packet meals (for those with minimum access to conventional cookers/ovens)

All contributions continue to be most welcome.

Thank you for your continued support.

Dawn and Rev Bob
