Still with me?? Ok. More news:
I am thrilled to announce the return of G7Teen Plus!! If you are in Year 11 or above we are doing a 4 week trial of this famed group of the past to see how we get on. It will be discussion and food-based (we’ll provide the food). Discussion / conversations will be on life, faith, God, the Church etc and is a time to chat about where you’re at, what’s bugging you, where life’s leading you and so on. It is essentially Confirmation prep so for those who haven’t been confirmed yet but want to be it will count towards that and you will be Confirmed at a big celebration in Kingsnorth Church on November 14th! For those who have already been confirmed it’s a time to reflect on your life since Confirmation and relate your journeys now. For those who aren’t sure yet it’s a great opportunity to voice your questions, concerns, gripes etc in a safe, open-minded environment with absolutely no obligation to do the Confirmation thing at the end of the 4 weeks.
We’ll kickstart this group on Sunday 30th September, 4:30pm till 6pm at Charing Vicarage. Please email Mim (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have any questions. Anyone wanting to continue with G7Teen in the Barn afterwards are more than welcome to stick around, or you can opt to just meet for Plus then head home. Either way we really want to create a separate space for older teens. We’ll review how it’s gone at the end of the 4 weeks and see if you’d like to proceed with this group on a more permanent basis.
Finally, in other news Mim will be leading Refresh (Family Service in Charing Barn) on September 9th at 11am, so come along and support it if you have time. Otherwise, we’ll see you at G7Teen later on! Themes and content of youth nights will be relayed to you via email the week leading up to each Sunday.
