Sea Sunday: Sunny, Bracing then Sunny

Sea Sunday at Tankerton

Sea Sunday at Tankerton

The weather at this year’s Re:fresh Sea Sunday (8th July) at Tankerton was exciting: starting off sunny, then getting rather bracing with some rain, then eventually getting very sunny all over again. Anyway, none of this dampened the enthusiasm of the gathered throng.

The service was taken by Martin who gave an excellent talk about the work of Mission to Seafarers. Kelley and David Playfair and family were wonderful hosts as ever keeping the refreshments flowing and the food a-barbecuing, and are just delightfully welcoming people.

The service and the whole day were absolutely lovely. Kelley says we raised £109 for Catching Lives, a charity the Playfair family support.
