The Re-Fresh Remembrance service was very special today. We met as usual in The Barn. The congregation, led by the children, made a poppy wreath which was laid at the Cross outside the Church. It was a service in which we remembered those left at home, such as loved ones, family and friends, focusing on their continual grief and need for prayer. The service was well attended and we prayed for God to unite us as a family and as an army for righteousness for His Glory. After laying the wreath and holding a minute silence, we returned to The Barn for coffee and cakes and the children were enrolled (press ganged) into their roles for the upcoming Nativity Play. This will take place at the Re-Fresh service on 23/12/12 with carols and a wonderful social afterwards. This service and social is open to all so if you are interested, please advise either Carol or Martin Higgins (for catering numbers) at firstname.lastname@example.org or text on 07826 909440.
