G7Teen going up in the world

G7Teen climbing – 24 Jun 2012

G7Teen really went up in the world this Sunday (24 Jun), as many of them tried out the delights of climbing, some for the first time. All those who tried out climbing seemed to really enjoy this new activity, and given how successful it was we may well run another session in a few months time.

We’re very fortunate to have Graham Howland’s professional climbing expertise to call on in G7Teen, and throughout the evening he carefully and patiently shared his knowledge of this fascinating activity with all of us allowing us to run a safe and engaging climbing evening for the first time.

Thanks also to all those who brought more food items for the Ashford Food Bank collection-crate maintaining our support for this excellent charity. As ever, the collection crate will be accessible in Charing Church Barn 10am until 12.30 pm Sundays. We’re hoping to provide easier and longer access to the collection crate soon…

The list of items required is:

Milk (UHT or powdered)
Sugar (500g)
Fruit juice (carton)
Pasta sauces
Sponge pudding (tinned)
Tomatoes (tinned)
Rice pudding (tinned)
Tea Bags/instant coffee
Instant mash potato
Tinned meat/fish
Tinned fruit
Biscuits or snack bars

Whatever you can do is great and you will be making a real difference to people’s lives with this.
